Corporate Accountant, 3-6 month temporary role, Mascot

The Role:

ASX listed logistics organisation based Inner-South Sydney.
They are hiring a Corporate Accountant to oversee the efficient delivery of Corporate Accounting services and drive improvement in key finance processes.
The role reports to the Group Finance Manager and has no direct reports. The scope of the role includes corporate accounting tasks at month end (data verification, journal processing) with a strong focus on payroll and lease accounting. A key focus of this role is to partner closely with payroll to identify and deliver efficiencies or improvements in the way that labour costs are accounted for and reported. In addition this role assists with statutory and group reporting as directed by the finance manager.
Monthly journal processing (payroll, Opex, expenses, interest calculations)
BDO lease system management, and owner of key controls
Payroll accounting process owner – documentation of key processes, and resolution of SAP issues
Branch EOD banking
Indonesian Financial Governance
Preparation of key Balance Sheet reconciliations – Blackline (Payroll, Lease accounts)
Performance of Branch Audits – in conjunction with the Compliance Team
Assisting with audit and preparing financial statements
Involvement in other projects as directed by the Group Finance Manager

The ideal Candidate:

CA/CPA qualified essential
5-10 years finance experience required
Attention to detail and strong understanding of financial systems and processes
Strong technical knowledge and experience of delivering improved financial processes
Ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organisation
Proactive and collaborative nature
Analytical and problem solving skills
Big 4 and experience of working in a capital intensive business preferred
