The role
Reporting to a Senior Finance Manager within a NSW government organization, your role will be to provide overall accounting ownership.
- Support the annual statutory reporting requirements
- Process journals and ensure timely and accurate General Ledger reconciliations
- Preparing and lodging BAS, FBT, GST, PAYG
- Month end reporting
- Take ownership of system improvements and work external
- Support Oracle module upgrades relating to the Financial Accounting team
- Prepare Financial Statements
- Offer process improvement initiatives
The Successful Applicant
- CA/CPA qualified
- Demonstrate technical proficiency with accounting concepts
- Will have a process driven mentality with a passion for continuous improvement
- 1-2 years’ experience within the NSW Government
- A pro-active approach to work and strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Oracle ERP - User and Implementation experience is a must
- Intermediate Excel skills – Vlookups and Pivot Tables
