About the Company
This role is with a not-for-profit education provider based in East Melbourne. They have over 300 educational institutes within the Melbourne region and have a newly created Shared Services department which you will be joining to help on-board and assist schools with their general ledger accounts.
About the Role
- Bank reconciliations/end of month reconciliations including Salaries, FBT, Credit Card statement, entering transactions into GL.
- Prepare & review BAS and IAS
- Prepare financial Statements (Actual to Budgets)
- Prepare annual financial statements
- Reports
- Prepare & review Trial Balance each month
- Asset disposals - Profit and loss
- Maintenance of Asset Register
- Credit control - identification of action required
- Ad-hoc duties as required by the Team Leader
Skills & Experience
- 2 years minimum as a Bookkeeper or ''Assistant FA'' or Financial Accountant
- Cert V1 in Bookkeeping
- BAS skills
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance (desirable)
- High standard of attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills, rapport building and reasoning
- Professional and clear communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good software/technical ability to use MS packages and learn new systems
- Technology One experience (desirable)
