Job description
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Infrastructure Architecture group on the development of the latest design principles, standards, documentation and patterns that can be highly leveraged across multiple solutions
- Design and develop and govern high quality infrastructure services and solutions,
- Facilitate the bridge between the technical domain architects and the solution specialists to ensure the technology infrastructure meets the company objectives
- Ensure the Enterprise Infrastructure Strategy is aligned against the company goals, the technical requirements of the company product suite, industry regulations, standards and best practises
- Ensure all facets of the Infrastructure designs and technologies are integrated and work as one holistic managed ecosystem, enabling the company to build quality infrastructure foundations
- Provide technical and architectural guidance towards the company future product design guidelines, with a view of optimising the use of shared Infrastructure platforms and Datacentre resources
- Review/analyse current and future state solutions, and develop architectural requirements, as needed for the project and any vendor/product section process.
Key skills
- You have proven experience consulting as an all-round Infrastructure solution architect, and are currently working with business and technical stakeholders at all levels
- Strong leadership abilities, specifically the ability to influence, negotiate, motivate and resolve political conflict
- You have strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Competency in Broadcast/IP Video and Multicasting technologies would be beneficial
- Demonstrated experience in the design and deployment of mission critical architectures supporting time sensitive traffic transport
- Comprehensive skills and experience in identifying, researching, evaluating and recommending new and emerging technologies
- In-depth knowledge of; networking solutions and in delivering complex, multi-site, multi-tenanted hybrid infrastructure solutions, incorporating legacy solutions, Software Defined Networking, orchestration and automation; cloud-based technologies, security frameworks, system and service monitoring
- Understanding of ITIL, architecture development, reference models.
