About the Company

A specialised audit firm based in Norwest have experienced significant growth in the last 2 years and are now looking for an Intermediate Auditor to join their young and vibrant team. Due to the current world pandemic, the team are working from home 

You will work on a broad range of audit jobs across their diverse client portfolio, from planning through to completion stage. They work with not for profits and privately owned business across the Sydney metro area. Pre-COVID, the majority of work was done onsite. Post-COVID, this has now changed to a 50/50 split, this is now being considered for a permanent change. Currently the the formal work from home day is Wednesday however this role comes with a lot of flexibility. 

About the Role

  • Plan and conduct audit testing, identifying the most efficient methods of obtaining assurance required
  • Working with the current Seniors and Managers to set objectives and devise an Audit strategy that appropriately identifies and addresses the audit risks, identifying and communicating issues with clients in a timely manner
  • Carry out audit field work 
  • Establish excellent working relationships with various stakeholders
  • Prepare audit reports for partner review

Skills & Experience

  • External auditing experience within an accountancy firm
  • Looking towards completing or recently completed your accountancy qualification (CA or CPA)
  • Appropriate professional and technical skills required to demonstrate a good application of audit approach
  • Good knowledge of Word, Excel, (Caseware preferred)
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Good time management skills and ability to maximise productivity of own time.
