Job description

  • Engage with stakeholders across the business
  • Local government - based in Eastern suburbs
  • Immediate start - contract opportunity 

The Role:

  • Develop the weekly staff newsletter
  • Organise events within the council
  • Monitor social media channels and respond as directed, and use technology to undertake social listening, escalating contentious issues that arise.
  • Maintain a content calendar, ensuring an appropriate mix of content across channels
  • Coordinate and produce regular reports on the performance of channels  

About you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area such as marketing, communications or journalism
  • Strong organisational skills and able to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills
  • Ability to write content for multiple channels
  • Experience with CMS and the Adobe suite is beneficial
  • Local government experience is beneficial
