Job description

This Local Government organisation has implemented a number of initiatives that have introduced a new approach to the Council’s work practices.  Subsequently, these initiatives are having a major impact on people, process and technology at the Council.   

 

In this role you will play a pivotal part in implementing change strategies as well as demonstrate experience in overseeing training programs across the organisation. To be successful in this role, we need you to have the following experience: 

 

 

Key Skills / Responsibilities: 

  • Facilitate the development of change management methodology.  

  • Develop and implement a change management plan including stakeholder identification, engagement and scheduling of change management activities. 

  • Develop and implement a training needs analysis, training plans and training delivery solutions. 

  • Undertake business readiness assessment and stakeholder feedback analysis to identify and close gaps. 

  • Develop and implement a communications plan. 

  • Mitigate risk in relation to organisational change and stakeholders. 

  • Enable sustainability of the project change in the business. 

 

 

Requirements: 

  • A demonstrated record of achievement at senior level in planning and managing the development, implementation and delivery of Change Management programs within a large, complex project environment and to tight timeframes  

  • Extensive experience as a Change Management professional consulting with senior managers and staff at all levels of an organisation to provide pragmatic solutions to complex business projects particularly in relation to: 
    - change impact assessment 
    - business process design and documentation 
    - training needs analysis, plans and training delivery solutions 
    - organisational communication  
    - consultation processes  

  • Highly developed analytical, conceptual, written communication and presentation skills including the ability to tailor the message to the needs and interests of the audience in complex reports, policy papers and written and verbal briefings. 

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.  

  • Experience with relevant Change management methodology.
