A chance to work for a leading Melbourne Public Transportation organisation based in the heart of the CBD in a role suited for an aspiring candidate wanting to make a tangible impact on public transport infrastructure.  Reporting to the Managers of Infrastructure Projects, the primary focus of this role is to facilitate the project managers in delivery of key strategic infrastructure and engineering projects.

Responsibilities will include:  

  •  Liaise with the Project managers in facilitating with day-to-day project scheduling activities.  

  • Confirm project deliverables, develop a scope management plan, and manage applications of scope controls.   

  • Ensure all aspects of each projects’ timelines are accurately maintained and analysed to ensure on-time delivery.   

  • Prepare plan and schedule documents, proposals, reports and instructional documents.   

  • Build strong stakeholder relationships that will enable you to meet the expectations of the project managers.   

  • Understand project issues and mitigate risks.   

  • Completion of project documentation.  
      

About you: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, or Commerce is desirable.  

  • Technical and professional skill in Project Scheduling is essential.   

  • Proven experience using Primavera P6 to a high level is paramount. 

  • Previous exposure to engineering and public transport infrastructure projects is a bonus.   

  • Ability to generate reporting and governance materials to stakeholders at various levels.   

  • Flexible to work in changing environments.  

  • Strong work ethic and drive to go the extra mile in a dynamic workplace. 

 

This is initially a contract role with the potential for going permanent, should that be your preference.  You will also be given a travel card as part of the package.
