Job description
Financial Accountant- NSW State Government
- ASAP - DEC 2024 with possibility of extension
- CBD | WFH
- Ensuring financial controls and reporting are consistent with best practice
- Assist in the preparation of the Annual Financial Statements
- advice on financial/accounting policies, processes, practices, chart of accounts, fixed assets and financial compliance issues to ensure compliance with legislative requirements
- Undertake month-end control sheets, reconciliations and trial balances to provide management with reliable data and meet statutory requirements
- CA/CPA or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar financial accounting role which includes the application and review of accounting standards..
- Experience with internal and external audit processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively and interact with stakeholders.
- Highly developed Microsoft Excel skills
