Opportunity for an experienced Health and Social Planner to join a Local Government authority in the South-East suburbs | 3-month contract | $64.91ph  

 

  • Lead the development, delivery, and evaluation of key health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Previous experience as a Health and Social Planner Officer within a Local Government organisation essential for this role

About the company:   

We’re seeking an experienced Health and Social Planner to join our Community Wellbeing team. This role will lead the development, delivery, and evaluation of key health and wellbeing initiatives that support a healthy, connected, and inclusive Bayside community. 

Your key responsibilities include: 

  • Lead the development and review of the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan.
  • Provide expert advice to support the Disability and Inclusion Action Plan, Reconciliation Action Plan, and Volunteer Management Plan.
  • Apply health data, research and best practice principles to guide initiatives.
  • Build strong networks with government, service providers, and community groups.
  • Support Council’s child safety obligations and promote safeguarding practices.
 

About you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in health, social sciences, or community development.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in health and social planning, ideally with local government.
  • Strong knowledge of the Public Health and Wellbeing Act and related frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
