Management Accountant

Job description

My client is looking to recruit a senior management accountant as part of a large finance transformation programme. The role will support all business functions and assist with the budgeting process across the head office services. This is a value-add role designed to provide quality analysis as well as reporting on actuals. 
 
The focus of your time will be spent building their reporting capability to greater ensure the corporate function is better engaged with the business. Building dashboard reports, KPIs and other metrics will be top of your priority.
 
Responsibilities will include: 

• Producing the consolidated management reporting pack containing detailed actual overall results for presentation to executive team and external stakeholders
• Producing in-depth analysis on any variances against budget and previous reporting timelines. You will assess key financial drivers and help drive adherence to these
• Engaging key stakeholders in the business; both executive leadership team and commercial business partners. You will provide functional in-put on the direction of the business
• Proactively improving processes and procedures to ensure internal SLA agreements are adhered to. You will be designing dashboard reporting templates and setting the metrics behind the KPIs to provide more relevance to your customers

This is a crucial role in the organisation and one that serves as a real springboard into the rest of the business. You must be qualified and have a solid background from a large corporate. Exposure to the Infrastructure or IT sectors will be viewed favourably but not essential. Your analytical experience in a large complex business combined with a track record of producing consolidated reports to senior management will be exceptional. You will need communication skills, be proactive
and outgoing in terms of personality and display clear career progression to date
