Job description

To provide a range of Senior Administrative and Clerical services to the team to support the unit outcomes in a timely, reliable and highly efficient manner.

Duties

  • Provide office support services including records management
  • Arrange meetings and co-ordinate events
  • Respond to enquiries and escalate issues as required
  • Update and maintain records and databases
  • Assist with Kitchen duties
  • Monitor facilities maintenance
  • Provide accurate support to the Executive Director and the Executive Officer
  • High level document formatting, word processing and other keyboard support
  • Drafting and preparing correspondence and briefing notes
  • Facilitate the flow of paperwork to and from the office to ensure deadlines are met
  • Coordinate meetings including preparing agendas, organising venues and catering and distributing minutes
  • Will work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (21 Hours per week)  


Selection Criteria

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Provides timely delivery of information and selects the most appropriate method of communication
  • The ability to consider options, develop solutions and decide on an action
  • Ability to produce accurate and easily understood documents which meet the needs of their intended purpose
  • High level attention to detail and accuracy
  • Understand an interpret instructions and can make judgment calls
  • Willing to take up new learning opportunities and willing to take on adhoc tasks
  • MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint at an advanced level  


Previous experience in a NSW State Government Department is desirable.
