Federal Government Agency is looking for a People & Talent Officer to join their team in the CBD of Sydney. You will join the team on 0.7 FTE and work about 3-4 days a week.

The role will have a mix of HR & Recruitment aspects.

About the role:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process including; advertising, sourcing and screening candidates; providing shortlists to hiring managers; leading interviews and advising on recruitment best practice.
  • Participate in job briefings with business leaders to understand role requirements and discuss target talent pooling strategies.
  • Advise and support managers on the recruitment process including drafting of position descriptions and creating interview guides.
  • Ensure the employee on-boarding experience of new employees to the agency is adhered.
  • Assist in the development of retention initiatives based on the feedback and findings from exit interviews, pulse and culture surveys.
  • Deliver recruitment reporting such as dashboards, metrics and regular reporting.

Essentials:

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline, or an equivalent of relevant experience
  • Proven experience managing the recruitment process either within an agency or organisation
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
