Senior Payroll Officer | Brisbane - Southern Suburbs | $100-110k + Super

This leading construction company, based in South Brisbane, is seeking an experienced Payroll Professional to take ownership of end-to-end processing while working within a supportive, values-driven team. The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll across a diverse workforce. This is a hands-on role where you’ll ensure payroll accuracy and compliance, while driving efficiencies and supporting system improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

End-to-end payroll processing and reconciliations
Managing new starters, terminations, and employee variations
Ensuring compliance with Awards, EBAs, and legislative requirements
Preparing payroll reports and responding to employee queries
Managing superannuation, payroll tax, LSL, and PAYG obligations
Supporting audits and contributing to process improvement initiatives

About You

Ideally you will have:

Recent experience in full-function payroll within construction or a similar industry
Strong understanding of Awards, EBAs, and payroll legislation
Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Confident communication skills with the ability to build strong internal relationships
Sound system skills and experience with major payroll software
A relevant qualification in payroll, accounting, or finance desirable
