This 4 Partner firm based 25 minutes South of Sydney are very well regarded in the industry and are on the lookout for an Audit Manager to join their friendly and dynamic team. They are specialists in the market and work with some of the largest and well known businesses within Australia and Internationally. The firm offer an array of services from accounting & auditing to taxation, Self managed superannuation and advisory. Although the role will be predominantly audit, the role will involve a mix of the other services too. Through leading a team of skilled professionals and building on existing client relationships, you will offer a full rounded service to your own portfolio of specialised clients. 

The firm offer flexible working and really honour the importance of a good work life balance. The team are all very supportive and most of whom have been there for a number of years, some starting as graduates and worked their way up to becoming Directors. 

There is a clear progression path up to Partnership level and a very interesting and diverse role at hand. You will use the firms proprietary methodology and the latest technology to drive an efficient and effective audit process which will enable you to gain a wide range of assurance exposure including:

  • Independent statutory audit of  financial reports
  • Preparation and review of complete and accurate audit work papers
  • Preparation and review of critical client communication
  • Research of difficult technical issues and application of issues to clients’ circumstances
  • Telephone and face-to-face contact with clients
  • Supervision and coaching of junior staff members

You’ll be agile, responsive and bring innovative ideas to the table. Your passion for understanding your clients’ businesses will see you go beyond addressing technical issues to developing actionable growth recommendations. This role will suit someone with the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Audit & Assurance
  • CA/CPA qualification or equivalent
  • Excellent client relationship skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Sound knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and Australian Auditing standards
