Audit Manager  

  • AFR Top 20 Firm based in the CBD 
  • Paying up to $120k plus additional benefits

The Opportunity   

Charterhouse are working with an AFR Top 20 firm who are also known for being one of Australia’s leading chartered accounting firms providing professional services in the areas of Audit, Business Services Advisory, Insolvency and Tax. This is a newly created role due to on-going growth they have experienced this year. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client portfolio ranging from listed clients, large Australian subsidiaries to SME's across various industries including financial services, construction & mining. 

In this role, it is important that you demonstrate initiative and sound judgement to ensure the smooth running of the audit, provide direction and guidance to junior staff on assignment and completion of audit in line with time and budgetary requirements.Where necessary, you will also be required to assist the partners in the performance of special assignments and reports as and when required.  

As a leader in the Audit division you will be responsible for:  

  • Leading and executing audit engagements across a diverse client portfolio
  • Acting as the main point of contact for key clients 
  • Leading and managing a team of junior auditors across a number of engagements    


About You  

  • 5 + years’ experience in External Audit within Australia 
  • Relevant academic qualifications 
  • Experience with CaseWare is preferred  
  • Experience in managing and reviewing work of a small engagement team 
  • In-depth understanding of auditing and control practices
