Job description
This Local Government organisation are undertaking a number of initiatives under their Digital Transformation program, having a widespread impact on the Council’s work practices.
In this position you will play a central role in a contracts management capacity, managing several technical IT contracts focused on service delivery. To be successful in this role, we need you to demonstrate the following experience:
Key Skills / Responsibilities:

Documentation and development of a business case.

Open channels of communication with senior non-technical stakeholders within the organisation for progress reports.

Work with technical leads, including Solutions Architects
-
Coordinate internal resources and external vendors for execution of projects.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and to budget.

Mitigate project risks.
Requirements:
-
Minimum 5-years project management experience.
-
Project Management qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2, PmBOK, or PMP).

In-depth knowledge of contract management and procurement.

Understanding of local government operations, particularly from a service delivery perspective.

Excellent stakeholder engagement skills; internally with all support and technical staff, and externally to maintain strong relationships with strategic vendors.

Ideally have some exposure to working in local government environments.

Ability to facilitate workshops, identify opportunities, and make recommendations.
