- 3 month contract opportunity with possibility to go permanent

This local government authority are seeking a Coordinator due to a period of growth. The position will start as a contract role but there will be opportunity to go permanent after 3 months. The role will be responsible for coordinating a range of governance, statutory, property and office services in order to support Council's representation.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing support and advice to Councillors and management in relation to Council processes
- Developing continuous improvement strategies to support the organisation in achieving its goals
- Overseeing the implementation of governance processes
- Lead a team of 10 including the Council business team and Civic Services team
- Coordinating and preparing for Council and committee meetings
Desired skills and experience:
- Previous local government experience is essential
- Experience in the management of civic services functions that deliver on Council and community expectations
- Political and business acumen
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
