Job description

Our NSW Government client are currently seeking a PMO Coordinator to support the consistent initiation, delivery and tracking of programs/projects under the ICT Delivery Plan. This role requires working closely with projects and programs to ensure consistent reporting and compliance with ICT PMO frameworks and methodologies.

  • Based in Gosford AND Sydney
  • Initial 6 Month Contract
  • $600 - $650 + super per day

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare timely and insightful reports and governance material in line with ICT Divisional delivery plan – including status, financials, schedule, risks/issues and change requests
  • Work closely with projects and programs to ensure the compliance with ICT PMO frameworks and methodologies, and all governance requirements
  • Provide ICT PMO methodology, tools and templates support to projects and programs
  • Provide Clarity (PPM tool) support to projects and programs 
  • Perform periodic Clarity (PPM tool) data quality reviews and coordinate closing of gaps
  • Scheduling and pipeline management of the ICT delivery plan as required
  •  Notifying the PMO Lead of any issues or risks impacting part or all the delivery plan

To be successful, you will need:

Skills -

  • Excellent communication and partnering skills
  • Problem analysis and an analytical mindset
  • Proficient with Excel, Visio, SharePoint and PowerPoint
  • PPM tools knowledge and skill (Clarity preferred)
  • Disciplined, process oriented and a special eye for detail
  • Capacity to work with short timeframes, and adapting to changing requirements.

Knowledge -

  • Degree qualifications in IT/Business or related discipline
  • Strong understanding of the role of a PMO and how such a function delivers value to an organisation
  • Sound understanding of traditional (PMLC and SDLC) and Agile (Scrum, Lean, Extreme Programming, DSDM) IT delivery approaches
  • Sound understanding of methodologies covering project management (e.g. PMBOK, PRINCE2) and program management (e.g. MSP, PMI Standard for Program Management) 

Experience -

  • Minimum of 3 years of PMO experience covering portfolio and/or program management reporting activities and governance
  • Proven ability to work within a team and also independently
  • Proven ability to engage with program and project managers
