Job description

  • Initial 5-month contract with likely extension, paying $685/day inc Super 

  • ASAP Start 

 

A fantastic opportunity to work within Melbourne’s highest performing Transformation team within the Local Government sector.  Their multi-year digital transformation program has seen them push the tech boundaries within the sector as they have emerged as a sector-leader, picking up various awards along the way.   

We are searching for a Business Analyst with significant experience and confidence around Microsoft Active Directory, Azure and Dynamics to join the team.   There will be a possibility to work remotely.   

 

About the role: 

  • Work closely with Project Managers and the Head of Transformation to ensure smooth delivery of projects to budget and within pre-determined timescales.   

  • Be a Change Agent to drive acceptance of projects across the organisation.   

  • Developing project scope and deliverables, providing regular status reports.   

  • Risk and impact mitigation.  

  • Provide effective framework and assessment tools.  

  • Maximise stakeholder relations; liaising with internal stakeholders and external vendors. 

  • Develop documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, test plans and test cases as required. 

  • Work towards continuous improvement as defined in the Council’s Quality Assurance system
     

Required Skills & Experience: 

  • Minimum 3-years Business Analyst experience. 

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Azure and Dynamics. 

  • Understanding of workflow development tools such as Microsoft Flow/Power Automate. 

  • General understanding of Single Sign On and best practices for managing user authentication. 

  • Familiarity with case management in tools such as Microsoft Dynamics and Cherwell 

  • Additional IIBA accredited BA qualifications and certifications are highly desired.   

  • Demonstrated experience in developing requirements documentation, functional specifications and AS-IS and TO-BE process modelling. 

  • Excellent written and communication skills. 

  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills. 

  • Strong soft-skills and an ability to work with organisation members at all levels. 

  • Professional experience in both the Public and Commercial sectors is advantageous.
