Job description

  • Portfolio Manager – People / Team Leadership Focussed Role
  • Managing a team of 10-13 Business Project Managers, 4 Change Managers, 4 PMO
  • Regulatory + Banking Experience Highly Desirable
  • $200k-$210k

The Role

  • We are looking for a Portfolio / Program / Practice Manager to manage the project capability for Business / Regulatory Projects
  • You will have a team of around 20 – 10-13 PM’s, 4 Change Managers, 3 to 4 PMO
  • You will be responsible for the day to day running of this team – there is a huge people / team focus on this role
  • Making sure the business needs are aligned – making sure stakeholders have the right resources – resource allocation and recruitment for their projects
  • Making sure there is a clear pipeline of work
  • Giving clear direction and making sure the strategy is clear for all the PM’s
  • Advising / Challenging the PM’s with Project Plans / Steering Committee / Understanding the Projects really well / Budgets
  • Advising / Challenging the stakeholders
  • The right person will be adaptable / flexible / not rigid / able to push back, challenge and is a strong people and team leader


Requirements

  • Experienced People Leader – experience coaching / mentoring Project Managers
  • 8+ years' Project Management experience before moving into more senior leadership roles
  • Banking and Financial Services experience
  • Strong senior stakeholder management experience – able to foster and get the best out of a large team whilst also having the strength to push back
  • You will be adaptable / flexible / not rigid in your approach and open to new ways of working
