Job description

This globally recognised Healthcare company has continued to grow from strength to strength.  With several exciting projects now in hand the need for a highly capable and confident Project Manager with fluency in both Mandarin and English is required to join their team to work on the expansion into China.  In this role, you will play a pivotal part working with key Chinese and Australian stakeholders, you will develop and maintain a project plan for the China expansion project.
 
 
Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate ability to work across very different cultures and bring teams together, across borders and time zones to deliver successful outcomes
  • Demonstrate fluency in Mandarin and English
  • Articulate an understanding of the complexities and challenges of international expansion
  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • Be prepared for 30 to 40% international travel
  • Manage the execution, tracking and reporting on all activities related to the project
  • Developing and maintain a project plan for the China expansion project.
  • Refine and complete the program steering committee pack on a fortnightly basis
  • Manage any third-party project consulting resources on specific streams of allocated work
  • Proactively monitor progress, resolve issues and initiate appropriate corrective action
  • Support with managing the overall budget and program costs.
  • Ensure the delivery of project scope with the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the plan and governance arrangements, and that any committed business benefits can be realised
  • Managing dependencies and interfaces between projects assigned to the Project Manager
  • Connecting and build relationships with key stakeholders for the work
  • Leverage the Project and Program Management methodology and governance structure
  • Collaborate to further develop the current Project and Program Management framework

 
 
Core Requirements 

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
  • Experience with multi national companies in a start up phase
  • Experience in living and working in China
  • 4+ years’ in a similar role with experience in project support, reporting, schedules, planning, risk/issues management, governance
  • Sound understanding of project management methodology
  • Confident stakeholder engagement and communication at all levels
  • Excellent computer skills e.g. in project tools and collaboration applications
  • Ability to work collaboratively across business and technical teams
  • Experience with PMO governance processes including status reporting, budget and financial tracking
  • Ability to analyse information and produce reports and presentations
  • Ability to work within a team environment and liaise with different levels within an organisation
  • Excellent attention to detail and concern for quality
  • A high degree of initiative and a flexible approach
  • Experience in healthcare or an understanding of the healthcare environment and relevant processes and systems is appreciated but not required
