Senior Accountant or Heavy Intermediate 

  • $65k to $85k depending on experience
  • Norwest location

About the Company

This top accounting and financial services firm are based in Norwest and are looking for either a Senior Accountant of a Heavy Intermediate to join their growing team. The level of the person isn’t as important as the ability ambition of them.

You will be working with a wide variety of private clients while also being hands on with mentoring juniors and graduates as they come into the firm.

Based in Norwest business park, the office is super convenient for anyone living in the North West region of Sydney. Coffee shops and mod cons are all close by and free parking is available on-site.

They have just migrated from MYOB to Xero Practice Manager, so someone with working knowledge of the Xero platform would be an advantage (not a requirement)



About the Role 

  • Preparing financial statements and preparing and lodging tax returns
  • Lodging monthly and quarterly BAS and IAS
  • Provide advice on FBT, GST, Payroll Tax and Div7a calculations
  • Train and mentor junior members of staff and be a go-to person for any queries that they have
  • Present ideas on ways to improve how the firm operates


Skills & Experience
 

  • CA or CPA Qualified or Part Qualified
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role with an Australian accounting firm
  • Experience of Xero is desirable
  • High level written and verbal communication
