  • Major Local Council in Melbourne’s North-Eastern suburbs.
  • 6-month contract with a day rate of up to $750, with a likely extension.  
  • Work on a multi-year Transformation program delivering multiple projects. 
  • Immediate Start.  


A fantastic opportunity to join this Local Council as it begins its multi-year digital transformation program which will have a widespread impact on people, process, and technology across the organisation.   

We are searching for a Senior Business Analyst with significant experience around Transformation programs to deliver on a pipeline that includes a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Project, ERP Project, Middleware Implementation, HRIS and several other projects.   

 

About the role: 

  • Work closely with the Digital Transformation Program Manager, leading Business Analysis activities on several concurrent projects.   

  • For the first part of the contract, you will primarily be working on the Council’s new CRM implementation, responsible for developing the new CRM system’s Business Case. 

  • Oversee an RFT and vendor-selection process; including documentation, procurement and evaluation.   

  • Map AS-IS and TO-BE processes related to the customer journey to identify solutions to meet community and business demands.   

  • Develop documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, test plans and test cases as required. 

  • Maximise stakeholder relations; working with internal stakeholders and external vendors. 

  • Deliver a number of other large-scale technology projects (such as an ERP overhaul, HRIS implementation, and others) requiring an understanding of ICT systems and core integrations. 

  • Develop a Business Capability Model for non-technology projects.  

  • Contribute to the ongoing growth of the transformation program through other smaller technology initiatives in the program pipeline.   
     

Required Skills & Experience: 

  • You have 7+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst  

  • You have a with a proven track record working on multi-faceted Transformation programs.  

  • You have exposure to technical solutions around CRM, ERP, Middleware, HRIS, and other projects.   

  • You have experience preparing business cases for tender specifications and overseeing an RFT process.   

  • You put the end-user first and follow a Human Centered Design approach to stakeholder engagement.   

  • Demonstrated experience in developing requirements documentation, functional specifications and AS-IS and TO-BE process modelling. 

  • You have sound knowledge of Agile Methodologies as well as PRINCE2/Waterfall methodologies.   

  • You are enthusiastic and you want to play a central role in a multi-faceted major Transformation Program, contributing to its lasting success and mentoring junior members of the team.   

  • Prior Local Council experience will  be seen favourably.   

  • Police Check is required.
