Job description
An infrastructure employer of choice has created new role in their Tax Accounting team and they’re looking to recruit a hands-on Tax Accounting Manager to join their existing accounting team.
About the Role:
The Tax Accounting Manager will manager tax accounting services. The position provides strong leadership to a team in the development and delivery of innovative tax accounting services that meet the agency requirements and comply with the government statutory obligations.
Model good leadership to inspire direction and delivery, develop people, and drive change.
Manage tax accounting services to ensure Agencies complying with statutory taxation requirements.
Lead the partnership with Agencies, Government Statutory bodies and other Divisions/Branches within the organisation in developing sound and effective process and internal control in managing taxation that meet organisational ever-changing needs and legislative requirements.
Provide timely and accurate advice on taxation processes and systems innovations to contribute to the efficiency, seamless tax management practices to Agencies.
About You:
Tertiary qualifications in accounting, commerce or in a related discipline and eligible for or progress towards membership in a recognised professional accounting body
Proven experience in managing a team providing Tax Accounting Services in a large and complex organization with high transaction volume.
Experience with and sound understanding of relevant legislation and regulations and commercial accounting practices relating to government organisations.
