Credit Team LeaderLocation: Macquarie Park
Salary: $100k + super + 5k bonus
Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 WFH
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role manages complex collections, provides escalation support to the credit team, and plays a key role in improving processes, systems, and team capability. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve disputes, streamline workflows, and minimise bad debt risk alongside managing a team of five.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide escalation support for complex collections, disputes and claims; escalate higher-risk issues to the Financial Controller
- Review, improve and implement credit and collection processes to enhance efficiency and cash flow
- Liaise with internal teams to resolve delays and disputes
- Prepare monthly AR reports, reconciliations and collections updates for management
- Issue statements, letters of demand, refunds, credit approvals and account adjustments
- Administer direct debits, payment facilities and customer account set-ups
- Support month-end activities and contribute to collection strategies
- Assist with training, coaching and cross-skilling of the credit team
- Oversee and mentor the credit team, supporting workload management, issue resolution and continuous improvement
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 3-5+ years’ experience in an Accounts Receivable or Credit & Collections role
- Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail
- Confident handling escalations, disputes and senior stakeholder communication
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and intermediate Excel skills
- Organised, proactive and solutions-focused, with a continuous improvement mindset
- Experience managing a team
