Finance Transformation Lead (6-Month to start)  

📍 Sydney CBD 

💲$900 - $1,200 per day 

 

We are seeking an experienced Finance Transformation Lead to support a genuine end-to-end finance function transformation within a Sydney CBD based organisation. This is an initial 6-month contract engagement, with flexibility for part-time or fractional support (which may extend beyond 6 months).

 
The Objective

To review, redesign, and implement improvements across the finance function to drive efficiency, clarify responsibilities, and reduce duplication of effort. This is not a BAU optimisation exercise nor a system centric transformation. The mandate is process and people led, to critically assess how the function operates today, redesign it for clarity and efficiency, and execute the change. The role is both design and planning focused, as well as hands on implementation. The expectation is hands-on delivery. Strategy and execution must sit with the same individual.  


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a clear transformation roadmap and project plan

  • Document current-state processes, workflows, and role responsibilities

  • Identify inefficiencies, duplication, and structural gaps

  • Redesign finance remits, responsibilities, and operating model

  • Implement improved processes and governance structures

  • Support change management and stakeholder alignment

  • Execute the transformation plan through to delivery

 

Ideal Background

We are open to:

  • Fractional CFOs

  • Senior Finance Leaders who have delivered outsourcing or restructuring of the finance function 

  • Leaders who have successfully delivered operating model redesign

 

Experience Required
  • Demonstrated track record delivering finance transformation programs 

  • Experience with outsourcing, offshoring, or shared services models

  • Strong stakeholder management and change leadership capability

  • Ability to operate hands-on (not purely strategic)
