Job description
Group FP&A ManagerUp to $220k package | Private Equity–Backed Services Business
This is not a “build some decks and watch from the sidelines” FP&A role.
My client is a fast-growing, private equity–backed services business operating in a high-performance, outcomes-driven environment. Decisions are made quickly, accountability is high, deadlines can be tight, and expectations are clear. We’re now looking for an experienced Group FP&A Manager to take an established FP&A function and elevate it to best in class.
The Opportunity
The FP&A foundations are in place, models, reporting, forecasting, and they are now looking for someone who has done this before and knows how to turn insight into action. You’ll partner closely with senior leadership and operational teams to drive performance, challenge assumptions, and influence decisions that materially impact results.
If you thrive in PE-backed environments, enjoy wearing multiple hats, and know how to move seamlessly from big-picture thinking to detail execution, this role will suit you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and lead the Group FP&A function across budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis
- Act as a true business partner to operational leaders, translating financial data into actionable insights
- Drive operational performance improvement, not just financial reporting
- Build and refine models that support growth initiatives, pricing, cost optimisation, and investment decisions
- Hire Finance Analyst once understood the set up and role responsibilities
- Support board, investor, and executive-level reporting in a PE environment
- Improve processes, tools, and cadence as the business scales
- Manage competing priorities, tight deadlines, and evolving business needs with confidence
What They Are Looking For
- Deep, hands-on FP&A experience, this is a must (and cannot be overstated)
- Proven experience in private equity–backed, high-growth, or fast-paced environments
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
- A track record of driving operational performance, not just producing numbers
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity and changing priorities
- Confident, pragmatic, and able to push back when needed
The Culture
- Performance-based and results-focused
- Fast decision-making with minimal bureaucracy
- High trust, high accountability
- Expect to be challenged, and supported, in equal measure
The Package
- Up to $220k total package, depending on experience
- Opportunity to play a key role in a growing, PE-backed business with real impact
If you’re an experienced FP&A leader ready to step into a role where you can genuinely shape performance and help take a business to the next level, I'd love to hear from you at Charlie@charterhouse.com.au
