  • 12-month fixed term contract (Mat leave cover)
  • Up to $140,000 Package (incl of super)

Tier 1 Consultancy is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their team. You will help the Consultancy meet its regulatory and policy obligations whilst supporting the business in delivering quality service to its clients. Experience with Legislation across Australia & NZ will be required for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Act in a key role in our COVID Steering Committee as we respond to the Health & Safety implications of managing our response to the pandemic
  • Ensure that we comply with our obligations under Health & Safety legislation, and implement systems, processes or initiatives to ensure compliance through communication, training and education including reporting to leadership
  • Manage the ongoing Safety Management System and measure the effectiveness of initiatives
  • Coordinate and manage both the internal and external Health & Safety audits
  • Consult with various stakeholders within the business to identify, assess and mitigate risks associated with engagements or activities being considered or undertaken  
  • Facilitate training to various parts of the business to encourage a positive health and safety culture and endorsement, including coordination of specific health and safety training for at-risk business units
  • Oversight of Oceania’s Crisis Management and Business Continuity Program, including facilitating annual workshops and connecting with local and global Risk and Security stakeholders to improve processes
  • Oversight of the firm’s Modern Slavery program
  • Supporting the wider Risk Management team on a variety of risk and compliance issues and topics, including acting as subject matter expert on selected firm policies

 About you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area and/or proven commercial experience
  • Knowledge of Risk Management and compliance management principles
  • Knowledge of Australian and NZ health & safety legislation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
