Payroll Manager | Sydney CBD | Permanent | Up to $180k PackageAre you an experienced Payroll Manager ready to take ownership of a high-performing, national payroll team? We’re partnering with a leading Australian organisation to recruit a confident Payroll Manager who can drive accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement across a busy, high-volume payroll function.
About the Role
As the Payroll Manager, you’ll oversee the delivery of a timely, compliant and customer-focused payroll service for a large and diverse workforce. You will lead a team of 8, streamline processes, and work closely with Finance, HR and Operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely processing
- Manage, mentor and develop a medium sized payroll team
- Oversee compliance with legislative requirements
- Drive payroll governance, audits, and risk management
- Partner with HR and Finance to resolve complex queries and provide expert advice
- Prepare payroll reporting, analytics and month-end support
- Oversee PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and workers compensation
- 5+ years of experience managing a payroll function in a medium–large business
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, PAYG and superannuation
- Confident leader with excellent communication and stakeholder skills
- Highly organised, solutions-focused and comfortable driving change
- Knowledge of Dayforce highly desirable
