Job description

3-month Project Support Officer opportunity to work for a large Council in the South-East suburbs | $50.66 per hour

  • Previous Project Officer experience essential ideally within Local Government or Council | Experience with TechnologyOne system will be considered an advantage
  • Represent a Local Government authority providing excellent service to members of the community 
  • 3-month temporary opportunity | $50.66 per hour
 

As the Project Support Officer, you’ll play a key part in setting up and configuring works, procurement systems, and reporting tools to support new maintenance contracts for parks and trees. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across operations, digital technology, and contract management to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing service delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure work order templates, maintenance schedules, and asset registers in TechnologyOne (CiAnywhere).
  • Establish procurement catalogues and contract modules aligned with service specifications.
  • Build and update data models, dashboards, and reporting tools using Excel and Power BI.
  • Coordinate system testing and deployment for external contractor portals.
  • Provide project administration, technical support, and assist with change management and training.
 

Skills & Experience

  • Experience with TechnologyOne CiAnywhere or similar enterprise systems.
  • Strong data management and reporting skills – Excel and Power BI proficiency required.
  • Background in project or technical support, ideally with experience in asset or contract management systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder liaison skills.
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritise within a fast-paced project environment.
  • Experience in Local Government or the waste/environmental services sector is desirable, but not essential.
 

To be successful you will have:   

  • Strong experience configuring and working with the back end of enterprise systems, ideally TechnologyOne or similar
  • Proven project support skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and departments
  • Hands-on experience setting up systems and processes to support new contracts and service rollouts
  • A solid understanding of finance and procurement operations, with experience supporting system integration or setup
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to bring people together, align stakeholders, and drive outcomes
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Proficient in formatting correspondence and Council documents (e.g., reports) in accordance with the corporate style guide.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
