Job description
Join a well-established and highly respected mid-tier accounting firm based in the heart of the Melbourne CBD. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Senior Accountant to step into a hands-on business services role with real client interaction, career development, and flexibility.What’s in it for you?

- Work closely with clients to gather tax and compliance information
- Prepare tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships
- Advise on tax planning, asset protection, and minimisation strategies
- Assist with financial statement preparation and tax forecasting
- Attend client meetings with managers and partners
- Manage ongoing compliance: BAS, IAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, Land Tax
- Liaise with the ATO, ASIC, banks, and other bodies
- Set up new entities and structures (companies and trusts)
- Refer financial planning and lending needs internally
- Mentor and support junior team members
- Recommend and support clients using cloud-based software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks)
- Completed degree in accounting (or similar)
- Completed CA or CPA (or close to)
- Solid experience in a business services role within public practice
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Tech-savvy and confident using cloud accounting tools
