Job description
Tax Consultant
- Tax compliance and advisory role

- Temporary position with immediate start
About the Company
ASX listed organisation requires an experienced tax professional to work within their group finance function. The role will broad in terms of responsible working with a Group Head Of Tax ensuring all tax and compliance related duties are completed in a timely manner.
About the Role
- Provide technical advice and tax knowledge to various sites, divisions and personnel within the consolidated group on income tax, GST, FBT and BAS
- Interface with internal stakeholders across the group and with external advisors where appropriate to address all strategic tax advisory issues
- Conduct Income tax compliance practices for the Group including the lodgement of income tax returns and payment of PAYG taxes, withholding taxes
- Ensure Tax Authority audits / reviews are managed appropriately to minimize risk and cost. Monitor and assess the impact of tax reform on the group
- Champion a number of business improvement projects across the group, leading to the streamlining of processes and a more value-add approach
Skills & Experience
- Professionally qualified in accounting or tax (CA, CPA, CTA)
- Must have previous experience within tax compliance for a large, complex organisation
- Must be able to hit the ground running within busy tax department
- Need to be able to start an assignment at short notice
