Job description
The company
Our client is a highly regarded and well known public health organisation looking for an immediately available management accountant for 3 months.
The role
Reporting to the Senior management Accountant, the Assistant Management Accountant will be doing the following:
- Calculation of various costing and budgeting
- Support the Business Managers and Divisional Support Accountants in day to day financial management including
- Variance analysis and cost centre support.
- Ensure compliance with Ministry of Health policies, NSRHS policies and procedures and Accounting Standards across the Health Services
- Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and correspondence
- Manage and prioritise workload to meet competing demands
- Calculate costing and budget exercises including the completion of adhoc management accounting tasks required by cost centre managers
- Provide support to the annual budgeting process
- Review, evaluate and make recommendations concerning workflows, processes, policies and procedures with respect to financial accounting practices or issues across NSRHS
- Participate in the process of business planning and review for Finance
