Tax Accountant

I am currently working with a large ASX listed distribution business based in Macquarie Park. Due to an internal move, they are searching for a Tax Accountant to join them on a temp to perm basis in their head office.

Responsibilities:

• Completing the day-to-day tax compliance for indirect (FBT, GST, PAYG, BAS returns and Transfer Pricing) and direct tax (income tax)
• Preparing all tax effect for accounting
• Preparing the tax notes for financial reporting & liaising with external auditors
• Liaising with tax authorities
• Updating internal tax policies

Key criteria:

• Ideally coming from practice background (Big-4 or mid-tier) or Corporate Tax
• Effective communication skills
• Hands-on experience with tax compliance
