I’m working with a well-established and highly regarded mid-tier practice based in the Melbourne CBD, and they’re looking to bring on a confident and capable Assistant Manager to take over a portfolio and help lead a small team.

This is a great opportunity to step into a role with real responsibility, genuine autonomy, and strong progression potential.

What’s on Offer:

  • Take ownership of a diverse portfolio of SME and HNW clients
  • Lead, mentor, and review work of junior accountants
  • Be hands-on with workflow, billings, and client relationships
  • Work closely with supportive Partners and senior leadership
  • A down-to-earth, professional environment that values work-life balance
About You:
  • CA/CPA qualified (or near completion)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in business services or tax
  • Confident in managing client portfolios and building strong relationships
  • Experienced in reviewing work and guiding junior staff
  • Proactive, switched-on, and eager to grow within a supportive firm
Why You’ll Love This Firm:
  • Strong CBD location – modern offices and easily accessible
  • Mid-tier structure with top-tier clients and processes
  • Clear career progression with regular development check-ins
  • Stable, long-tenured team and low staff turnover
