About the Company

This large organisation within the Transportation sector is currently looking for a Business Analyst – Asset Management who can work on a 12-month engagement. You are an experienced Business Analyst to provide business analysis and technical writing services for the Enterprise Asset Management Enhancement Program. You will work with various stakeholders to ensure the business needs to improve Asset Management capabilities are assessed and incorporated into Maximo including Asset Data Standardisation, Asset Planning and Work Planning Systemisation and Technology delivery such as Mobility, ArcGIS& Maximo Integration, Maximo Asset Configuration Manager

About the Role:

  • Providing business analysis and technical writing services for the Enterprise Asset Management Enhancement Program
  • Leading functional and non-functional requirements elicitation, analysis and validation and verification, ensuring that requirement statements and business rules are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable
  • Producing/updating new/existing documents as required including, but not limited to, business requirements, traceability matrices, test cases, as well as processes and procedures such as training material, task cards, Technical Maintenance Plans
  • Developing conceptual models to visualise the data quality improvements
  • Working with the Master Data Management Team to develop training material regarding Master Data Specifications, Asset Records creation, and updates
  • Working with the Maximo Functional Support Team to develop the business rules for generating and maintaining job plans, Master Planned Maintenance, Planned Maintenance records in Maximo for each asset class/ functional group
  • Supporting the Program Manager to manage the Change Management Process
  • Planning and executing system testing and integration testing in conjunction with vendor, business SMEs and OCMS BAU teams
  • Reviewing functional and technical requirements with vendors and development teams to ensure business requirements are clearly understood and can be successfully delivered.

About You:

  • Understanding and experience of Business Analysis and Project Management bodies of knowledge
  • Proven experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and testing
  • Experience in projects for Asset Management Tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability and ability to conceptualize and think creatively
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills to ensure effective communication with all levels of the business, including the ability to convey complex information clearly and influentially
  • Persuasive and patient with good interpersonal skills
  • Experience in public transport is preferred, especially around rail and light rail environments asset data and information management
