Job description
The Oracle Database Administrator position is responsible for installation support focusing on the, installation, configuration, implementation, and testing of Oracle database services. This project will also include implementing Exadata.Required
- Experience with RAC, datagaurd, Exadata, SQL Server, ASM, performance tuning, cloning, be able to interact with application team and business leaders.
- Define and Implement schedules for required Projects
- Install, Configure, implement backup procedures, and DR’s for Oracle / SQL Server
Job Requirements
- Experience with Oracle RAC 11G and 12c, on Oracle on Linux Platform and SQL server
- Experienced Oracle database upgrade from 11g to 12c
- Experienced with Oracle Engineered System Exadata
- Performance analysis and tuning
- Ability to work within an established Project Development process
- Should be able to work with already established data models and naming conventions
- Knowledge of Linux, UNIX Solaris 8, 10
Qualifications
- Expertise as Oracle SQL Server DBA and support experience with Oracle 10g, 11g and 12c RAC and ASM experience is must
- Experience with Oracle RAC 10g, 11g and 12c
- Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) 10g and 11g
- Experienced with Oracle Engineered System Exadata
- Skilled in Oracle RAC, ASM, DataGuard, Flash back, High availability
- Working knowledge Oracle application integration experience
- Working knowledge Oracle Automatic Workload Repository (AWR)
- Post-secondary graduate of a Computer Science discipline
- Proven experience with Oracle applications in an environment that includes UNIX/Linux servers, Oracle RAC database
- The individual should have previous experience with all aspects of designing/implementing Exadata solutions
- Experienced on migrating existing Oracle databases into Exadata Knowledge of different Oracle database migration paths into Exadata Experience in migrating large Oracle databases (OLTP and Data Warehouse) into Exadata
- Ability to document and follow policies and procedures
