Education Administration Assistant - NSW Government

  • Initial contract through to 18/6/24 with likely extension
  • $35ph + super
  • ASAP start pending checks
  • Strathfield location - Onsite full time
  • 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
  • Working with Children Check required

The role:

This is a temp contract with the possibility for extension and future career opportunities.

We are looking for standout candidates who are customer focused to communicate with students by responding to enquiries, provide information, resolve issues and perform a range of administration tasks.

This is a contract role so we need candidates who can hit the ground running, are comfortable with a fast-paced training period and able to adapt quickly.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Provide efficient and effective administrative support services to support the management of daily teaching and learning operations and the student journey as well as the smooth running of activities
  • Assisting with the maintenance of records and databases including educational systems, finance system and student management systems
  • Contribute to preparation of reports
  • Responding to correspondence and enquiries face to face, over the phone and via email
  • Managing team inboxes
  • Coordinating meetings and workshops
  • Researching and drafting documents
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

About you:

  • Hardworking, driven with a strong sense of urgency
  • Previous experience in an administration or student services role
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities
  • Tech savvy, and able to pick up new systems quickly
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to take initiative
  • Ability to manage your time and work in a fast paced environment
  • People orientated with an ability to develop strong relationships
  • Ability to commit to the length of the initial contract
  • Working with Children Check required
