Job description
Finance Officer | Permanent | Mascot | Up to $85k + SuperWe are seeking an extremely organised and ambitious Finance Officer to support the finance and payroll functions of a growing organisation in Mascot. This role would suit a junior finance professional, looking to gain experience in a fast-paced industry, and develop their knowledge of accounts and payroll.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare purchase orders and process invoices
- Full-cycle payroll processing across the business to ensure compliance and achieve ATO & superannuation legislative obligations
- Keep payroll records and ensure ATO & superannuation legislation compliance
- Manage bank settlements and reconcile financial transactions
- Support budgeting, financial reporting, and variance analysis
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with audits
- Ad hoc support to the finance department
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- 1–2 years’ experience in a finance or payroll support role
- Keen interest in developing payroll knowledge
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to take on constructive feedback and ask questions
- Excellent attention to detail and communication abilities
