Payroll Manager – National Multi-Site Organisation | Inner South Brisbane Location Full-time | Up to $150k + Super (DOE)Inner South Brisbane| Parking Onsite | Supportive Culture & Great Benefits
Are you an experienced Payroll Manager looking to take full ownership of a national payroll function within a supportive, people-first organisation? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company in the early education sector, leading a small payroll team and driving system and process improvements across the business.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO, you’ll manage the end-to-end payroll process for a workforce of 1,000+ employees across multiple entities and pay cycles. You’ll also focus on compliance, leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of national payroll processing
- Ensure compliance and timely payroll delivery
- Lead and mentor a small payroll team
- Manage PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax, and WorkCover obligations
- Partner with HR and Finance to support audits and reporting
- Streamline systems and processes (ConnX, TANDA, Micropay highly regarded)
- Prepare and present payroll reports to senior management
- 5+ years’ experience managing full-function payroll for 1,000+ employees
- Strong people leadership and mentoring experience
- Excellent Excel and reporting skills
- Solid understanding of payroll legislation and compliance
- Experience with payroll software
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Salary up to $150k + Super
