About the company: 

 

You will be working for a Local Government authority in the eastern suburbs. This is a great opportunity to work with an excellent council giving you the chance to broaden your local government experience and knowledge. The organisation take pride in looking after their staff’s well-being.  
 
Your key responsibilities include:  

  • Provide an effective document management service to the staff,
  • Register, process, and scan correspondence into the electronic document management system.
  • Work as a team member including assisting other staff members.
  • Provide customer service experience to internal stakeholders
  • Sorting and opening of mail
  • Processing of mail for dispatch
  • Handle highly confidential reports and material
  • Assist with any other adhoc administration 

 

You will have the following:  

  • Local government experience, especially Building and Statutory Planning correspondence 
  • Either qualifications in Information Management or have proven experience within the field 
  • Working knowledge of Objective and EzeScan  
  • PDF manipulation 
  • Quality Assurance of scanning carried out by third parties
  • Be process driven and maintain strong accuracy 
  • Proficiency with the MS Suite 
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards work 
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks each with competing deadlines
