Junior Accounts Payable Officer | North Sydney | Permanent | Up to $75k + SuperMy client are a well-established construction company based in North Sydney, currently seeking a Junior Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team to support the business through a phase of growth and transformation. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who is keen to build strong foundations in accounts payable within a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, you will support the end-to-end accounts payable function and work closely with project teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing high-volume supplier invoices
- Matching invoices to purchase orders
- Managing supplier queries and statements
- Assisting with payment runs
- Maintaining accurate AP records and filing
- Supporting month-end activities as required
- Ad-hoc finance and administrative support
This role will suit someone at the early stages of their finance career. Perfect for a recent graduate or someone nearing the end of their studies. Full on-the-job training will be provided.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in an office administration or entry-level finance position, however not essential
- A basic understanding of accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
