Tax Compliance Manager

• Based in Newstead
• Up to $135k inc super + bonus

As a Tax Compliance Manager, you will be one of the key leaders in the team, overseeing the tax compliance function and managing a team of 5 talented individuals based offshore. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of a vibrant company while honing your leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the tax compliance function, ensuring accurate and timely filing of all required tax returns.
• Manage and mentor a team of 5 offshore professionals, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative and high-performing team.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure company-wide compliance and mitigate tax risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect necessary information for tax reporting purposes.
• Develop and implement tax compliance policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular reviews and assessments of tax processes, identifying opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CA or CPA Qualified.
• Proven experience in tax compliance from an Australian Accounting firm.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills, with experience in overseeing remote teams (desired, not necessary)
• In-depth knowledge of Australian tax laws and regulations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
