Job description

A prominent NSW Government department is seeking an experienced and robust Reporting Manager/ Senior Finance Officer responsible for managing the reporting activity and accounting functions of a Treasury Fund for programs

The successful candidate will be on a contract until 30th March 2018

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Overseeing the allocation of funds and reports
  • Evaluating/ improving internal accounting processes
  • Understand complex reporting frameworks
  • Document processes and decisions in centralised record keeping
  • Training staff
  • Responsible for the development and delivery of a reporting regime and monitoring system
  • Effectively measure the programs performance
  • To provide information and monthly reports on the programs to internal stakeholders
  • Be the single point of contact for management and coordination of scheduled and ad-hoc reporting requests
  • Building internal and external stakeholder relationships

Essential Selection Criteria: 

  • Bachelors degree in Commerce, or Accounting
  • Previous Government experience
  • Demonstrated experience in financial and budget analysis, reporting, forecasting and recommendations to process improvement
  • Excellent reporting and analytical skills
  • Previous experience of within Human Services/ Treasury desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
