 This well established organisation within Local Council are currently looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join their team for a 3 month contract. You will uplift their digital transformation program as well as analyse third party technology supplier contracts at the Council to provide them with improvements throughout. 

 

About The Role

  • Analyse current third party technology supplier contracts at Council across specific operations and understand technical dependencies between service providers to identify potential improvements and opportunities to support business continuity and efficiency.
  • Document new support model and gain agreement to ensure future business continuity and clarity of support arrangements across impacted stakeholders.
  • Lead technical discovery of Council’s current state desktop PC environment utilising available tools and develop an implementation plan to assist with hardware and SOE upgrades across identified devices.
  • Consolidate and categorise desktop applications required for SOE packaging, non-SOE packaging and those no longer to be supported by IT Operations through stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop a functional and non-functional requirements document to support an uplift of Council’s existing SOE and gain endorsement from a range of business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure requirements are accurately represented in the uplifted SOE technical design and build.
  • Assist with procurement documentation to support Council’s procurement requirements.
  • Write test scripts to gauge compliance with requirements across network and SOE solutions as required.
  • Enable the uplift of SOE capability within Council through development of the SOE support framework including operational and procedural documentation, support model, Hypercare Support plan and operational training for ongoing transition to the B.A.U. Operations team.
  • Create BA plans in conjunction with Project Manager to support delivery of responsible artefacts within project timelines.

 

You will have

  • Significant industry experience and track record in a senior Business Analyst role including previous experience developing IT support agreements and/or service designs in complex environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with a variety of business and IT stakeholders to gain support and endorsement for artefacts and future state support design.
  • Previous experience managing requirements documentation from stakeholder elicitation to approval to requirements tractability in design, build and deployment.
  • Experienced working with technical stakeholders to illicit technical requirements and ability to transpose technical documentation and procedures for consumption by a technical audience.
  • Previous ITIL experience required and ITIL qualifications highly regarded
  • Ability to undertake analysis, generate and report on information and provide recommendations.
  • Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft TEAMS experience (as these are the key tools used currently)
  • Ability to work independently yet work well as part of a program and IT team
  • Experience delivering change in both agile and waterfall IT infrastructure projects
