Senior Finance Business PartnerLocation: Parramatta/Hybrid
Rate: $700 per day + super
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract until: 30 June 2026
About the Role:
Our government client is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join their Finance and Business Advisory team on a long-term contract. This role plays a critical part in providing high-level financial and business advisory support across the department, ensuring effective budget management, performance analysis, and strategic financial insights to drive informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver detailed monthly financial management and dashboard reports to senior executives and managers.
- Provide expert financial and accounting advice, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support financial performance monitoring, cash management, and business performance analysis.
- Design, build, and maintain costing models for the Corporate Service Catalogue.
- Prepare complex briefing notes, reports, and financial policies as required.
- Research and resolve emerging financial issues, offering recommendations and innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement finance initiatives that enhance performance and compliance.
- Ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting and budgeting processes.
- Maintaining stakeholder confidence through proactive communication and collaboration.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Strong self-management, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and business partnering roles.
- In-depth understanding of Australian Accounting Standards.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Power BI and advanced Excel.
- Previous experience working within a government environment highly regarded.
- CA/CPA Qualified
