Job description

A NSW Government Department is seeking an Administrative Support Officer to join their busy HR team.

Primary Purpose:
To Coordinate correspondence and requests for the team. This position will involve; internal and external customer liaison, preparing correspondence and maintaining database records.

Duties: 

  • Liaison with stakeholders and customers
  • Delegating enquiries and answering queries from the public
  • Referring work to the correct department
  • Provide general advice in accordance to policies and procedures 
  • Managing and quality assurance of the database 
  • Ensuring compliance with regards to licencing
  • Act as an initial contact for HR issues
  • Conduct regular reviews of HR operational processes to evaluate their efficiency and effectiveness
  • Respond to a high volume of work initiated from multiple sources
  • Monthly reporting from collated information
  • Occasional travel to the Sydney office may be required

Selection Criteria 

  • Experience in a HR background
  • Ability to be organised and work in a team environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent computer skills i.e. MS Office skills at an intermediate level
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Successfully manage and prioritise the workload
  • Criminal record check required
