Job description
A NSW Government Department is seeking an Administrative Support Officer to join their busy HR team.
Primary Purpose:
To Coordinate correspondence and requests for the team. This position will involve; internal and external customer liaison, preparing correspondence and maintaining database records.
Duties:
- Liaison with stakeholders and customers
- Delegating enquiries and answering queries from the public
- Referring work to the correct department
- Provide general advice in accordance to policies and procedures
- Managing and quality assurance of the database
- Ensuring compliance with regards to licencing
- Act as an initial contact for HR issues
- Conduct regular reviews of HR operational processes to evaluate their efficiency and effectiveness
- Respond to a high volume of work initiated from multiple sources
- Monthly reporting from collated information
- Occasional travel to the Sydney office may be required
Selection Criteria
- Experience in a HR background
- Ability to be organised and work in a team environment
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent computer skills i.e. MS Office skills at an intermediate level
- Ability to work autonomously
- Successfully manage and prioritise the workload
- Criminal record check required
