  • Initial 6-month day-rate contract, paying up to $650-700/day, with likely extension. 

 

A fantastic opportunity to be part of a recognisable NFP making a major difference in the Victorian community, state wide.  As part of their transformation program, this particular project will enhance their communications capability and have a drastic impact on end delivery of the service.   

We are searching for a Business Analyst who is a self-starter and has the capability to oversee end-to-end project responsibilities, from proof of concept through to delivery.  They will be working closely with the IT Team, key stakeholders around Victoria and the vendor to deliver the major ICT upgrade.  The business analyst will be required to develop the business case in the project’s initial phase, then will play an integral role in the delivery phase of the project.   

 

About the role: 

  • At the core of the role, you will be responsible for the business case development for a ICT Telecommunications Mobility Solution project aimed at enhancing communications capabilities.   

  • Create and maintain the project’s Requirements Traceability matrix and Business Requirements document.   

  • Facilitate discussions and workshops with SMEs to elicit stakeholder requirements to develop solutions that are constructive and innovative. 

  • Analyse and challenge commonly held assumptions and accepted processes to revise business policies, processes and procedures to support the solution. 

  • Understand the Data Mobility solution’s integration with other ICT systems.   

  • Experience going to tender and vendor-selection; including documentation, procurement and evaluation.   

  • Work with a complex web of stakeholders across the state.  

  • Work with vendors for solution delivery.   

  • Work alongside the ICT Team to map IT and communications structures and processes across different platforms. 

  • Work closely with the Program Manager to ensure project milestones, strict deadlines and reporting practises are adhered to.  

  • Contribute positively and proactively to the project, and willing to cross functional boundaries and roles to get things done. 

 

Required Skills & Experience: 

  • You enjoy developing and presenting business cases for new projects.  
  • Over 5 years demonstrated BA experience, with a proven track record in overseeing end-to-end projects.   
  • You have delivered at least one telephonic data mobility solution. 

  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement capabilities and an ability to manage a complex web of stakeholders.  

  • Fantastic documentation and eliciting requirements abilities.    

  • Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities, with outstanding presentation skills.  

  • Capable to document the Testing approach, create test cases and manage User Acceptance Testing.  

  • Able to work independently.  

  • Adaptive and receptive to change.  

  • Understanding of both Waterfall and Agile project methodologies.   

  • Experience working within Government or NFP’s will be beneficial. 

  • Relevant ICT tertiary education and BA Certifications (e.g. BABOK, CBAP, PMI-PBA)
