This is an excellent and rare opportunity for a 12 month contract within the government sector looking for an experienced Administration Assistant.

A prominent government department is looking for an experienced administration assistant to join their team for a 12-month contract – a rare opportunity!

THE ROLE:

  • Provide administration support including records management and email correspondence
  • Organise and arrange meeting and events when required
  • Prepare documentation and correspondence in line with standards and organisational requirements
  • Complete routine financial transactions and purchasing services
  • Respond to enquiries, and escalate and redirect issues as required
  • Update and maintain records and databases, complying with administrative systems and processes to ensure accuracy Assisting in other administration support duties where required in tight time frames and strong attention to detail

You must have a Working with Children Check and Full Australian Working rights
 
REQUIRED:

  • Prior experience in government sector in similar position
  • 2+ proven experience as an administrator
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to organise events and meetings when required High attention to detail and thrives under pressure
  • Systems experience with SAP desired but not necessary
  • Proactive approach and strong organisational skills
